The Reason I am into Music Teaching

My career as a music teacher is certainly not an accident, it is my choice. However, it was my father, who motivated me to have such a passion for music. It has not been able to complete his course of music major in college, but he managed to become a successful musician.

Teaching music is also a passion for my father. Not known to many, he organized once a week during the session music enthusiast who wanted to learn to play guitar without paying a single penny. It was just one reason why he has acquired a good reputation in our neighborhood.

I would not sleep without my father play a tune with his flute, and my mother always told me. There are also cases where I laugh out loud every time he blows his trumpet softly next to my ears. But that was when I was still a baby, unaware of my future.

Honestly, my mother does not want to follow in the footsteps of my father. She wanted to train me to become an engineer, like my grandfather. It was just funny that every time we go to watch my dad do, she always tries to get as far as possible from the seat. Yet, despite these tactics, it has failed. I still develop in a young man dreaming of being a music teacher one day.

This desire of music education encouraged me to pursue music education in college and because of my firm conviction, I was able to finish such a degree, with brio. And guess what, this is not my father, who shared the stage with me to accept the honors, it was my mother.

After college, I never lost time. With my parents’ permission and financial support, I created my own music studio right next to our house in a vacant lot where my father used to teach guitar to our neighbors. I was able to attract four students first.

It was not so simple for me. I had many problems that nearly forced me to quit teaching of music. However, because it was my dream of helping young people to learn music, I gave myself another chance and look for ways to solve the problems I encounter while.
