PMP Prep course: How does it help me?

Let me share one of the most difficult experiences I had in the last 15 years of my career. After completing my engineering degree in electrical and electronic communications, I started as a software engineer in a multinational IT. I do coding and unit testing support of an order management system. Two years later, I was promoted to Senior Software Engineer. This time my role was the same, except having more complex tasks and assist junior programmers. A few years down the road, I became a team leader for the team. Like lead, my task and responsibility greater complexity. My main task was to lead the team to complete assigned tasks on schedule, in addition to supervision of coding and analysis for projects. My consistent performance paved the way to reach my next level and I was promoted to Assistant Project Manager in a span of two years. Walking down the street promotion, a year later I was a project manager.

With my role as Project Manager, I had to take care of all the projects for a particular team, and perform other functions (including administration, hiring, driving the team etc), if necessary. Because of a corporate merger, my position was eliminated. Although it was sad to leave my employer, I felt it was good for my career, and took the opportunity to advance in the field. It took me three months to find a position of Project Manager in a consulting firm Federal.

I was happy to be part of the consulting firm Federal because it was one of the best consulting firms in the United States in that company, the first day was devoted to orientation. Six of us (four managers and two business analysts), oriented companies and corporate policies. I met my supervisor in the evening. He introduced me to his colleagues and teams. The second day I was involved with installing the software and spend some ‘time to go through political organization. In the evening my boss took me into his office and entrusted me with a couple of assignments. One was to prepare a paper on contracts for one of our customers to install “Event Management Information System to manage the crisis. The other was to prepare a Risk Management Plan for an internal project. Has assigned a team of business analysts, and gave me a deadline to complete the tasks. I was shocked because I knew nothing about planning for procurement and risk management plan and why we developed these documents in my previous work. In short, I struggled a lot. With the help of my colleagues have been able to produce results, and met deadlines. The lesson learned for me was: whatever I could in my previous job was managing the assets and management of projects, I had to have overall project management skills and knowledge and understanding the importance of training for project management succeed in my career.

Formal education is an education system that provides structured training and skills necessary to perform a particular task in an organized way. This is a powerful weapon that can be used to acquire knowledge in any field. This applies to people who wanted to enter the field of Project Management as well. Although the terminology of project management or implementation of specific changes from company to company, once you know the basis by formal education, you can build on that knowledge and adapt to any system running the company. This will help you improve your skills and provide excellent material for your next job interview, you should take a new position using your experience as project manager. Having a strong understanding of the fundamentals of project management will help no matter what job or field of end to work in you and you find, project management fundamentals and learn through formal training Would help your mission to get a good job with a manager a nice salary. Improve everything you do, also a project at home or in the community.

Several universities and companies around the world are offering courses in Project Management. Most of Project Management courses cover: (1) project management process (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling and closing), (2) Project Management knowledge areas (scope management, time management , cost management, quality management, human resources management, communication management, risk management, contract / procurement, integration management) and (3) Project Management Institute-code of professional conduct.

Now back to my situation. How did I meet the challenge? I enrolled in a preparatory course to learn PMP Project Management. What I have gained in performance and versatility. What helped me acquire the right skills and knowledge required to manage projects in any environment. It helped me prepare for the PMP exam, and I used the certificate of course attendance for examination PDU. The certificate required by most institutions can be used as criteria for eligibility to write the PMP examination. There are many institutions that offer courses PMP Prep. However, the works may include some elements of Contractor – design, civil, mechanical, electrical and / or works “

Construction Management Study

Construction Management is the study and practice of managerial and technological factors in the construction industry. This includes construction, construction science, construction management and technology in construction. Given that these three groups plan, design and build together, two contracts of employment between these groups. The first contract is known as the owner and designer of the contract. The first contract covers the planning, design and some possible factors of the construction. The second contract is known as the owner and contract manufacturer. This contract covers the construction itself. In most cases, an indirect go-between relationship exists between the designer and manufacturer because of these contracts.

There is also a contract substitution or commercial representation, replacing the two contracts with three contracts. These three contracts are the owner and designer of the contract, the owner and manager of the construction contract, and the owner and the contractor’s contract. The company that manages the construction management group is more engaged in the construction, acting as advisor to three groups. The supervisor’s function is to provide advice to the designer guidance on the design, manufacturer, and services (design and construction wise). Services include outsourcing and equipment necessary for the owner.
