Fresh Engineering Degree Graduates – Most Will Be Condemned To A Life of Misery!
Holders of Bachelor of Engineering everywhere, but few are able and usable!
Imagine being marooned on a ship at sea without fresh water, there is ‘water, water everywhere but not a drop to drink’. Similarly, the proliferation of ‘education industry’ is proving very few but graduates are employable.
Schools offering professional degrees have grown like weeds. Weeds grow quickly and add to green. Look good. However, just like weeds hinder the growth of crops, many of these private schools have prevented a solid professional education for young people of Andhra Pradesh.
Last year, about 1.8 lakh engineering and MCA students complete their education. Even a small part of them had jobs. The job market is so disappointing that many students just stopped looking for work. Fresh graduates no longer enrollments of computers to enable them to get jobs. computer training institutes are not seeing enough people join.
When someone does an engineering or MCA is a path-way. You can not really leave that field to another field. Honestly, how many pharmaceutical companies BTECH hire a civil engineer as a seller Pharma. Or how many companies hire retail BE (Computers) as the official Customer Service. However, if the same person had a degree or BCom not have a problem with either employment Pharma retail or customer service work. A few years later, they can always do an MBA or MCA and change their careers and be a productive and responsible members of the company.
Over the last decade, with increasing engineering seats from 4,000 to about 2 lakh – every Yelliah, Mallam Ramulu and can get a seat in engineering. The student and the family feels great – as they did for those who graduated last year. I’m doing engineering or my son will be an engineer. A parent might think – the life of my son will be ’solved’. Well that was until last year!
The quality of education and talent levels of those admitted are so low for 98% of all these engineering students that they may be condemned to a life of misery. Their career prospects or possibility of a job well paid professional who does no better than a degree or Ayurveda Unani Medicine from a recognized institution.
Satyam saga may finally affect thousands familites-that even temporarily! However, growth epedemic of higher education institutions destroyed or destroy the future of lakhs of small and middle-income families. There are so many of them have taken loans, sold assets and made many sacrifices in the hope that their children are well settled.
Today, their employability children is a question mark. However, in order to get those degrees they borrowed lakhs of rupees. The possibility of repaying the loans students with a well-paying jobs are not promising. Not this year, but for a long time in the future.
With lakhs of low quality students for admission to professional courses – there is a possibility that education policy has destroyed the current future of an entire generation who may have been best to proceed ITI / Polytechnic diploma or a Regular BA, BSc , BCom degree. degrees of these things could have helped them find an honest and stable technical or service jobs that would be better suited to their abilities.
The only positive aspect of the current recession is that it can compell many parents not to think really hard before admitting their ’so smart kid’ in a college-quality low offer. A diploma from a college that has little value in the labor market. Nasscom also publicly admits that only 25% of engineering graduates are employable! This was a few years ago, before the significant increase in new engineering colleges.

Is Anybody Going to Defend Generation Y?
Dear Parents, Baby Boomers, and “older adults”
Friday, August 21, 2001 is forever etched in my memory. That morning I woke up like a country boy in Cordele, GA. That night I went to sleep like a country boy in the city of Atlanta. My life was going to do a back flip 180 degree circle. Here are the vital statistics of the city:
- Total area – 9.6 square miles
- Population – 11,608
- Zip codes – 31010 and 31015
- Ca pita income – $ 12,746 (46% of the population lives below the poverty
- Watermelon Capital World
For
That’s right. And ‘the Watermelon Capital of the World. Is there anything else about the town that those numbers do not tell you. It ’s incredibly divided and racist. And ‘one of the few places left on earth with two Proms (black) and 2 returns (black and white). And ‘one of the few remaining places on earth with a track rail that divides the white (east side) and blacks (west side). The east side of town is beautiful. The roads are perfectly maintained, the houses are properly maintained, and the police respond if a butterfly cries of pain. When you cross the tracks to something strange happens on the west side. See large craters on the streets, abandoned houses, and a response rate much slower than the police.
My childhood explained on the west side of the watermelon capital of the world. 99% of people on the west side of Cordele, GA are blacks. 110% of people on the west side of Cordele have a strong aversion to white people on the east side of town. There has never been any significant violence between the races that I remember, but you can cut the tension with a knife. Its very obvious when you go down the interstate. As you can imagine an environment like this puts a young black man in a predominantly white school of engineering in a predicament.
I had two choices:
- Continue irrationally hate white people and live miserably among my colleagues.
- open my mind to what he had to offer and learn from them.
Choosing option # 2 was probably one of the best choices of my life. At the ripe old age of 18 I learned that the world was bigger than my prejudices and desires. I learned that I could accept people for what he brought to the table and not what I wanted to bring to the table.
This brings me to the point of this article. When I was 18 I decided that not all online and was about to jump when I pressed the red button on my remote little. Not everyone saw things through the glasses the same frame as thin as I did. If I could do at 18 I know you can do it now.
Who writes about Generation Y?
No one knows exactly who you are. You are the group of people giving defamed my generation of people. You are a group of 40-60 years are calling us everything from Narcissistic laziness. I read enough negative press about Generation Y to make me want to vomit. After reading the 100th article defamed my generation I realized something. None of the articles I read about Generation Y are written by people from Generation Y. strange … very strange.
Someone needs to strengthen and defend the Generation Y and so I decided to nominate myself. Come with me, as I tell you who we really are (since they obviously do not know).
Purpose
I thought I was an anomaly. Thoughts raced through my mind that he could not run through the mind of another young man.
Here’s the answer … generation Y 23 years. Whenever my friends and I chat the word “P opens. Every single person who wants to talk with their lives has a purpose. Nobody wants to be a hamster running on a wheel to nowhere. I have seen several writers incorrectly label this desire as narcissism.
If the call naivety I agreed.
If you call it wishful thinking that I nodded my head as well.
If he said that was not statistically likely get along.
I can not agree with the accusation of being narcissistic. personality disorder narcissistic personality is a serious dysfunction. If you’re saying 50 million people in a band of seven years of age are narcissists then I have some shares left to sell Enron you.Seriously when he had a burning desire to become narcissistic purpose in life?
Passionate / b>
Generation Y wants the best and we often do not resolve. We are a hard charging, risk-taking, brain enhancement, weight lifting, starting companies, sky diving vortex of a generation. That’s how we like.
When I met a young man who was full of energy and passion? When I met a young man who had no intention of conquering the world?
There is no reason to punish our energy and zest. There is no reason to write off as energetic kids. Think about your 20. I bet you were passionate. I bet you were excited. I bet he wanted to conquer the world.
Do you? Why Generation Y is not given the opportunity like you?
From what I’ve seen is usually the people with a burning desire to push things to the next level. Sounds like a positive trait for me.
High Maintenance / b>
If I feel this time I’m going to stick my head in the ground. Apparently our elders have forgotten what the word means. I have not.
One of my ex-girlfriends was high maintenance. When the new camel brown, open toe, high heel, alligator, foot massage shoe came out that he must always be the first to have it. The woman had a closet full of shirts, blouses, jackets, boots, shoes, handbags and pants, but always wanted more. She was in love with food at the expense of others. He lived in an apartment that had not incredibly overpriced corporate life a. Any other result was below her. If you do not complete the 47 times a day he’d go in convulsions. That is high maintenance.
Fortunately she was not a member of Generation Y. Although she was still not represent the majority of us. We aren’ta group of lazy, self-indulgent children looking for a pat on the ass every time we do something right.
We are a group of people who work hard to expect to be recognized when we do something noteworthy. Nothing more and nothing less. While I’m on this subject I need to ask a question.
Who are these people raised during the “positive thinking” movement where everyone is a winner? I think I missed that boat. When I was in little league team, the loser went home and cried for parents who have said “you win … you lose.” When I was in school children who were not ready to move to the next grade who were not promoted. When I turned 15 I started working as a bus boy because I enjoyed eating. All my friends have grown the same way. I’m praying someone to show me all these high maintenance crybabies generation Y. I do not know.
Value Quality
In past generations it was good to drive you crazy one million hours of work during the week and finding a bit of joy the weekend. We watched our neighbors and parents do this for years and years. Honestly, it looked like a very desirable lifestyle. As a result we have promised to create a better one for ourselves. My generation does not want to sit around for the good showing face showing face. We are constantly thinking of ways to add real value to the world. What may be shocking given our age, but believe me it’s true.
Sitting around the office until 19:00 is only adding much value to us. We strive to find the right mix of time and value. This is the real reason we are leaning towards the door at 5 pm has nothing to do with our “lack of commitment” to the organization. Generation Y realize that human life expectancy is 78 years. We hate to lose our time and resources or the time and resources of others.
So if we come off brash, narcissistic, self-indulgent, impatient, or portray the image of the right itself is only because we sincerely want to do most of our lives. Not what you taught us to do?
Conclusion
One day I complained to my grandmother about it. He listened for 30 seconds before silence me. Apparently he was annoyed that I had the audacity to be annoyed. He frowned his face and said, “You used to be the same. Now that I think she was worse. Those children look to you. I admire you. They want to impress you and they are looking for your approval. Do not turn their backs on them because they have energy and enthusiasm that you do not understand. ”
Now that I think maybe (just maybe) not only my grandmother was addressing me. Perhaps the older generations we must accept what we are. Maybe you will not be labeled as deviant because you do not understand our energy and enthusiasm.
I like this idea.
